manifesto

we are seeds of transformation

The Golden Tree Institute was founded in 2022 from a powerful and meaningful encounter between two siblings: Natalie and Raphael.

As young people who, from an early age, were immersed in complex themes—philanthropy, work, community, the loss of a sibling, purpose, and impact—they chose to live according to the values they believe in—values that drive them forward.

We bring together purpose and innovation to design and act in partnership with other institutions. Together, we promote best practices and initiatives that change realities and strengthen lives.

The Golden Tree Institute has solid roots, cultivates its fruits, and spreads its seeds generously. We act in the present—the only time we have—with the clarity and responsibility needed to navigate complex and dynamic contexts, always keeping our eyes on a just and sustainable future.

At GTI, we believe that privilege and responsibility go hand in hand, and that philanthropy has immense power. We have chosen to embark on a cycle of work to transform realities.

May we be steadfast, honest, authentic, consistent, and brave.

philosophy

We believe that a fairer, more prosperous, and more sustainable society begins with people living in dignity. When we join efforts and trust in the transformative power of philanthropy—social, cultural, and financial—we create real opportunities for change and positive impact.

Our commitment is to transform lives. Through private social investment and collaborative work, we aim to anchor dreams, strengthen stories, promote economic inclusion, and open up new paths to a better future.

We want more people to have the chance to rewrite their life stories with dignity and autonomy. We dream of a vibrant culture of giving, inspired by Jewish values, attuned to present needs, and recognized for its ability to create meaningful transformation.

Natalie and Raphael are siblings committed to strategic philanthropy. They are dedicated to strengthening the institutions of projects and social organizations, amplifying their impact and ensuring long-term sustainability.

Inspired by a family tradition rooted in humanism, they combine this legacy with a deep understanding of Brazil’s urgent social challenges.

With a thoughtful focus on causes such as Education, Social Inclusion, and Jewish Identity and Culture, they practice Tzedakah—Social Justice—turning values into action.

The work of the Golden Tree Institute reflects our commitment to strengthening social organizations and reaffirms our belief in the transformative power of philanthropy to build a fairer, more equitable, and sustainable society.

On this journey, GTI is joined by Yael Sandberg, Daniella Ghertman, and Claudia Donegá—working together with humanity, care, and a deep commitment to active listening and valuing each initiative.
